Detroit Apron Co. strives to produce quality and functional aprons for personal and professional use. All products are handmade here, in the USA, in my sewing studio in the Detroit area.
Linen is my preferred fabric for its durability and improvement with use and age. Linen washes easily, dries quickly and you can choose to iron it back to its original crispness or leave it soft and natural without ironing. What I love about linen is that over time it's softness allows it to be more absorbent which makes it so functional in everyday use.
While I love the simpleness of linen, I do enjoy pairing it with cotton fabrics, solid and patterned. Hand embroidery is used often to complement the designs and make them one-of-a-kind.
